Kia Ora from Miss Falconer

Kia Ora Whanau!

Ko Tarawera te maunga
Ko Puarenga te awa
Ko Okareka te roto
Ko Te Arawa te iwi
Ko Miss Falconer ahau

Hi, my name is Laura Falconer and I am the whanau teacher responsible for MSM. I am the music teacher at Rotorua Girls High School. This is my first year of teaching and so far so good. The girls are still alive and so am I, so we are on track to everyone having a successful year!
As the girls can affirm for you, my main instrument is my voice and I can play a few other instruments including tambourine and egg shaker. Aside from music, I enjoy spending time on the water, or in it, hanging out with my dog Benson, catching up with friends, traveling and making a mess in the painting and arts & crafts department.
Over the years I have discovered just how much I love people. What an awesome experience it is to see the best in people, draw it out of them and watch them thrive! In this new role of teacher and looking out for these wonderful young women, that is absolutely no less. Already it has been a great start getting to know each of the girls and I look forward to seeing how they develop and grow from strength to strength this year, whether in academics, leadership, cultural and sporting ventures or in their individual character and personalities.
It is going to be a great year and I look forward to sharing it with you all.
If you ever have any questions, comments or suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Falconer
